The Only Comprehensive Children's Hospital in the Region

One of the Nation’s “Best Children’s Hospitals”

"The doors of Le Bonheur will never be found closed and will forever hereafter be open to those who come in need, seeking its help."
- Mrs. Howard Pritchard, President, Le Bonheur Club, June 15, 1952

Le Bonheur Children's Hospital is ranked as one of the nation’s “Best Children’s Hospital” by U.S. News & World Report, featuring expert physicians and staff, state-of-the-art technology and family-friendly resources.

Here, your child is in the hands of some of the most highly respected names in the world of pediatrics. Our international reputation as a healing center for children from birth to age 21 was created by the compassionate people and doctors who have touched so many lives through these many years. From classroom-based programs to sophisticated laboratory research, no other organization comes close to providing the state-of-the-art equipment, array of pediatric specialists and all-inclusive care that makes Le Bonheur such a valuable regional resource. Parents seek out our special brand of care for their children, routinely traveling from across the United States.

Le Bonheur Children's Advancing Pediatric Care

Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital is a leader in pediatric clinical care and research, and is a premier teaching hospital for future pediatricians, pediatric surgical specialists and clinicians. Our partnerships with the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital have helped build a strong reputation for both teaching and discovery.

We have a lot to celebrate. In the lab, our investigators are leading the global effort to find treatments for RSV, the most common cause of bronchiolitis and pneumonia among infants younger than 1. Our Neuroscience Institute has become a national leader in treating children with brain tumors, epilepsy and sleep disorders. Outside of our walls, we’re building healthy families with community outreach programs that target neighborhoods with high rates of diabetes, asthma and obesity.
