I just received information about a very important safety recall- Due to an amputation risk, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced the voluntary recall of one million Maclaren Strollers, manufactured by Maclaren USA, Inc. sold between 1999 and 2009.
If a child's finger is placed in the hinge mechanism of the stroller while it is being unfolded, the tip of the child's finger can be cut off as the stroller locks into the open position.
Consumers should IMMEDIATELY stop using the recalled strollers and contact Maclaren USA for a free repair kit.
