A play safe! be safe! workshop- a fascinating look into a preschool child's perception of fire, the surprising frequency of children's misuse of fire and practical appraoches to teach young children fire safety will be held on October 2, 2009 from 8:30 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. at the Memphis Fire Training Academy at 4331 OK Robertson, Memphis, TN 38127. This FREE workshop is for preschool teachers, direct care providers, program managers and fire and life safety educators. Each participant will receive a multi-media kit with a DVD, story cards, activity boards and a comprehensive teacher's manual and materials for parents in English and Spanish. This FREE workshop is sponsored by Safe Kids Mid-South, Le Bonheur Children's Medical Center and Memphis Fire and Prevention Services. Pre-registration is required by September 28, 2009.
