After a tackle Josiah Crutchfield, an 8th grade student at Memphis University School, fell on the football field. His family thought he’d get up in a minute and shake if off. When he didn’t, they knew something was really wrong. Once Josiah arrived at Le Bonheur, the pediatric trauma team recognized his injury – a torn pancreas. After two surgeries, 17 nights at Le Bonheur and a month off school, Josiah is getting back into the swing of things working out with his lacrosse team. And his parents couldn’t be more thankful for the pediatric experts who recognized his injury and continue to make sure he’s healing well.
