Meri Armour, President and CEO of Le Bonheur Children's

Meri Armour began serving at Le Bonheur as President/Chief Executive Officer in January 2007.  Meri comes to Le Bonheur from Cleveland, Ohio, where she most recently served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital, MacDonald Hospital for Woman and Ireland Cancer Center.  All three are part of the University Hospitals Health System/University Hospitals of Cleveland, which she joined in 1995.  Prior to that, she held positions at The Cleveland Clinic and Ohio State University Hospitals.

Meri holds an M.S.N., M.B.A, from Case Western Reserve University Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing and CWRU Weatherhead School of Management.  In Cleveland, she served on the boards of the American Cancer Society, March of Dimes, Ronald McDonald House and the Ohio Children's Hospital Association.

Dr. Bill May, Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Bill May became Chief Medical Officer at Le Bonheur on Nov. 1, 2004, but he has been associated with Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare and many of its service areas since 1977.

He was the first medical director of the Le Bonheur Sleep Center and of the Le Bonheur Epilepsy Center.  Most recently, he was medical director for the Care Management Department at Methodist North Hospital.

Dr. May is an assistant professor of Pediatrics and Neurology with the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. He also received his medical degree from UT and did his pediatric and neurology residencies there, as well. In 2002, Dr. May received a master's degree in business administration from Christian Brothers University. A Memphis native, Dr. May has spent most of his career at Le Bonheur practicing pediatric neurology.

Dr. May is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and the American Board of Clinical Neurophysiology. He is an associate member of the American College of Hospital Executives.

Kathie Krause, R.N., Chief Nursing Officer

Chief Nursing Officer Kathie Krause is the leader of all nursing units at Le Bonheur.  She leads the nursing administrators and all inpatient units, including the neonatal ICU, pediatric ICU, Epilepsy Monitoring Unit and others.  A nurse by training, Kathie is also responsible for Le Bonheur's clinical education, nutrition, palliative care program, dialysis and surgery, among others.

Larry Spratlin is Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Le Bonheur Children's Medical Center. He has held this position since March 2003.  He also holds the Treasurer's positions at Methodist Healthcare, Le Bonheur Foundation, Methodist Foundation and is Treasurer or Assistant Treasurer of other Methodist Healthcare subsidiaries.  He has held these positions since 2001.  Mr. Spratlin originally joined Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare in 1982.  During his time at Methodist he has held several positions in the finance division at the corporate office. 

Prior to joining Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare, Mr. Spratlin worked in the healthcare consulting practice of Ernst & Young.   As a healthcare consultant he specialized in assisting clients with capital planning, financial feasibility studies, financial advisory and project financing. 

Mr. Spratlin serves on the Board for the Medical Educational Research Institute.  He is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, Phi Kappa Phi and Beta Gamma Sigma.   He received both a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and an MBA from the University of Mississippi.

Dave Rosenbaum, VP of Building Projects

Dave Rosenbaum, vice president of building projects, has worked for Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare since February 2003 and served as a construction consultant to Methodist for 12 years prior to that. As a consultant, he served as a project manager on various Methodist projects.  He is responsible for all aspects of the new Le Bonheur and all other construction projects for the hospital.

Wyatt Howell, VP of Ambulatory Services

As the vice president of ambulatory services, Wyatt Howell leads Le Bonheur's emergency department, trauma program, Pedi-Flite, CRPC coordination, radiology and nuclear medicine, neurodiagnostics, the urodynamics and GI labs, outpatient clinics and rehabilitation services. He is also Le Bonheur's liaison to urgent care and diagnostics centers and pediatric outpatient rehab in Germantown.

Rick Kanschat, Administrative Director of Support Services

Administrative director of support services Rick Kanschat is charged with plant operations and facilities, environmental services, materials services/mail room, security, food services, patient advocates, interpreters, information desk, patient transport, Audio Visual services, telecom and operators, clinical engineering and the Family Resource Center.

Administrative Director of Community Health and Well-Being
Corey Johnson

As director of the newly formed division of Community Health and Well-Being, Corey Johnson heads all of the current Community Outreach programs – such as LEAD, the Center for Children and Parents, Safe Kids and School Health. Corey also oversees the Social Work and Spiritual Care departments. 

Corey drives the hospital’s ethics initiatives, supervises operations and planning for multiple hospital business units, develops strategies and goals for Le Bonheur’s pediatric outreach programs and serves as a member of the hospital’s senior leadership team. The division of Community Health and Well-Being also has strong ties with Le Bonheur’s Public Policy department and with Voices for Memphis Children, a new department that will partner with other institutions throughout the city as a large advocacy voice in the community for our children.

Corey holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Tennessee at Martin and two master’s degrees from Memphis Theological Seminary.

Matt Love, VP Strategic Planning Vice President of Planning and Strategy
Matthew A. Love
Matt Love is the vice president of Planning and Strategy for Le Bonheur Children’s. In his position, Matt is responsible for new business development, physician recruitment, developing regional strategies and overseeing the service lines.

Matt previously served as the vice president of Finance at University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. During his tenure at University Hospitals, Matt was responsible for financial operations for Adult Acute Care Services, Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital, MacDonald Women’s Hospital and the Ireland Cancer Center.
