Everett Named Administrative Director of Perioperative Services (Apr 21, 2008)
	Patty Everett, RN, MSN, CNOR, is the new administrative director of Perioperative Services at Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center. She has served as the interim administrative director of that department since December 2007.
Jackson Students Win Healthy Choices Contest (Apr 21, 2008)
	Two Jackson, Tenn. students are the winners of the Celebrate Healthy Choices contest by Le Bonheur Community Outreach. Alyse Flack, a student at Madison Academic High School won the in high school category. Benjamin Vinson a student at Thelma Barker Elementary School won in the elementary category.

Study compares two sedatives used in pediatric MRI (Aug 23, 2007)
	A local study published in the September 2007 issue of Pediatrics suggests that the use of propofol to induce sedation in children for radiological services is more effective and has fewer side effects than pentobarbital which is still used at several children's hospitals and pediatric facilities nationwide.

	ATV-related deaths and injuries have substantially increased across all age groups, as bigger and faster all-terrain vehicles have been introduced in the past decade. Children younger than 16 face the highest risks.

New Technology Approved for Le Bonheur (Oct 31, 2006)
	MEMPHIS, TN – Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center recenlty received approval from the State of Tennessee’s Health Services and Development Agency for a Certificate of Need for a state-of-the-art magnetocephalography (MEG) laboratory. The MEG is a clinical first for a five-state area including Tennessee, Kentucky, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Mississippi. Le Bonheur will be the third pediatric medical center in the U.S. to house a MEG laboratory.

National Folic Acid Awareness Week
