Bluff City Blues 100 Bicycle Tour to Benefit Le Bonheur

The Bluff City Blues 100 Bicycle Tour, sponsored by the Memphis Hightailers Bicycle Club, will be held Saturday, October 13.The ride starts at 8 a.m. at Handy Park/Beale Street in downtown Memphis with routes of 40, 62, and 100 miles. All routes are supported with food/water stops, safety monitors and mechanical support.

The ride will benefit Le Bonheur Children's Medical Center campaign to build a new hospital. The new Le Bonheur will be located north of the current hospital at the corner of Poplar Avenue and Dunlap Street on what is now the site of Memphis Mental Health Institute. The new hospital, which will be complete in 2010, will consist of 12 floors and 650,000 square feet of space.
