Two Jackson, Tenn. students are the winners of the Celebrate Healthy Choices contest by Le Bonheur Community Outreach. Alyse Flack, a student at Madison Academic High School won the in high school category. Benjamin Vinson a student at Thelma Barker Elementary School won in the elementary category.
More than 1,000 students across West Tennessee interested the contest. The goal of the contest was to encourage students to think about why they are choosing to make healthy choices in their lives.
“The students who participated in the contest demonstrated great thoughts about how they participate in healthy activities from making decisions about what they eat to how they exercise to how they take steps to be safe. We are proud of all them for the steps they’re taking to live full and healthy lives,” said Lisa Moody, outreach coordinator with Le Bonheur Community Outreach.
