Le Bonheur Names New Vice Presidents

Three leaders at Le Bonheur Children's Medical Center have been promoted into new roles. Bob Duncan has been named vice president of Planning and Strategy. Wyatt Howell is the new vice president of Ambulatory Services. Rick Kanschat will become administrative director of Support Services.

As Vice President of Planning and Strategy, Bob Duncan will lead new business development, regional strategy, regional services and clinics, Le Bonheur service lines and Physician Relations and Recruitment. Bob will also continue to lead Le Bonheur's Government Relations efforts.

Bob previously served as vice president of Advocacy and Public Policy at Le Bonheur. Before that, he worked as administrative director of Le Bonheur Community Health, and has also served as regional director of Methodist Healthcare Foundation and as a regional fundraising representative for Le Bonheur. He holds a master's of business administration degree from the University of Tennessee at Martin and a bachelor's of art from the University of Memphis.

As Vice President of Ambulatory Services, Wyatt Howell will lead the Emergency Department, Trauma Program, PediFlite, CRPC coordination, Radiology and Nuclear Medicine, Neurodiagnostics, the Urodynamics and GI labs, Outpatient Clinics and Rehab Services. He will also be Le Bonheur's liaison to Urgent Care and Diagnostics centers and Pediatric Outpatient Rehab in Germantown.

Wyatt has served as director of operations at Le Bonheur since 2005. He came to Le Bonheur from Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, where he served as an administrative director for six years. He also spent more than 10 years leading emergency services organizations in Alabama, and began his career as a paramedic. He holds master's of business administration and bachelor's of science degrees from University of Alabama at Birmingham.

In his new role as administrative director of Support Services, Rick Kanschat will be charged with Plant Operations and Facilities, Environmental Services, Materials Services/Mail Room, Security, Food Services, Patient Advocates, Interpreters, Information Desk, Patient Transport, AV Services, Telecom and Operators, Clinical Engineering and the Family Resource Center.

Since 2005, Rick has served as director of Facilities Services through a Johnson Controls contract at Le Bonheur. Formerly, he worked as director of engineering and security for ARAMark/Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center. Prior to his work there, he spent more than a decade working for ServiceMaster at various healthcare facilities in Missouri. He attended Phoenix College and Mesa Community College.
