William Phillips, Ph.D., has been named vice president of Community Outreach at Le Bonheur Children's Medical Center. In his new role, he will be responsible for grants and fiscal management and Le Bonheur programs including First Years, LEAD (Le Bonheur Early Intervention and Development), School Health, Therapy Outreach, Child Maltreatment, Community HIV, Safe Kids/Injury Prevention and Volunteer Services. He will assume his new role in late December. Phillips worked in Respiratory Care at Methodist University Hospital for more than 21 years, most recently serving as director. He also held the positions of education coordinator, clinical manager and associate director. He holds a doctorate in public health from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., a master's degree in human resources from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and bachelor's degrees in adult education and respiratory care from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and The University of Mississippi.
