Emergency Department Research Focuses on Benchmarking Data 
  Investigators Jay Pershad, M.D. and Martin Herman, M.D. recently published a study analyzing distribution of visit level acuity and RVU (relative value units) utilization in the Le Bonheur Emergency department.
Kylathu Joins Team of Neonatologists 
  Dr. Ranjit Kylathu recently joined Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
Le Bonheur Adds Cardiac Experts 
  Dr. Antonio Cabrera and Dr. Umar Boston recently joined Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center’s Cardiac Institute, the only pediatric cardiovascular program in the Mid-South.
Le Bonheur Adds Two New Pediatric Neurologists 
  Two new pediatric neurologists will help Le Bonheur Children's Medical Center expand care to children with neurological problems. Drs. Kathryn McVicar and Robin Morgan have also joined UT Medical Group Inc.
Le Bonheur Fellow Stars in TLC’s Diagnosis X 
  Dr. Alan Redding, a University of Tennessee Health Science Center fellow in allergy and immunology, will star in an upcoming episode of a new TLC network television drama series titled Diagnosis X.
Le Bonheur Welcomes New Pediatric Surgeon 
  Dr. Eunice Huang has joined Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center’s team of pediatric surgeons. She is a part of Pediatric Surgical Associates and a member of the University of Tennessee faculty.
Neurologist Writes Book for Peers 
  Dr. Amy McGregor, a neurologist at Le Bonheur, is the author of a new book geared toward helping medical students and physicians pass their boards and in-service exams in neurology. Laughing Your Way to Passing the Neurology Boards! was based on her experiences studying for the neurology boards.
Srinivasan joins pulmonology team 
  Le Bonheur's pediatric pulmonology team has a new member. Dr. Saumini Srinivasan has joined UT Medical Group, Inc., with a special interest in exercise stress testing.
Stokes Named Pulmonology Chief 
  Dr. Dennis Stokes has been named the new chief of pulmonary medicine at Le Bonheur Children's Medical Center. As a physician, his interests include care improvement in cystic fibrosis and asthma - especially in Memphis.
Study compares two sedatives used in pediatric MRI 
  A local study published in the September 2007 issue of Pediatrics suggests that the use of propofol to induce sedation in children for radiological services is more effective and has fewer side effects than pentobarbital which is still used at several children's hospitals and pediatric facilities nationwide.
Subramaniam Joins Anesthesiology Team 
  Dr. Poorna Subramaniam joined Pediatric Anesthesiology P.A., the Le Bonheur Children's Medical Center's private group of anesthesiologists, in October after completing her residency and pediatric anesthesiology fellowship at Tufts-New England Medical Center in Boston.
