The Craniofacial Program at Le Bonheur works in conjunction with the University of Tennessee Health Science Center to offer specialized treatment of craniosynostosis and other complex craniofacial conditions. A multidisciplinary team consisting of pediatric neurosurgeons, pediatric craniofacial plastic surgeons, a pediatric orthodontist and other specialists hold a craniofacial clinic each month to address the unique and complex needs of these children and their families. Our doctors and team members are committed to working with your child and family to provide a lifetime of individualized care.

Your Physicians and Care Team
Most craniofacial surgeries are very complex and require the skillful hands of physicians from multiple disciplines in order to achieve the best results. Frederick Boop, M.D., is the chief of Neurosurgery at Le Bonheur, and certified by both the American Board of Neurosurgery and the American Board of Pediatric Neurosurgery. Robert Wallace, M.D., is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is the chief and program director of the Division of Plastic Surgery for UTHSC. These surgeons work together to address even the most serious craniofacial anomalies and provide resources for families.
