Camp Wezbegon is an exciting camp specifically designed for children with asthma. The emphasis for camp is on fun while learning. Campers enjoy a variety of outdoor activities including swimming, nature study and hiking. The children will also attend a daily class on management of asthma.

Volunteer physicians, nurses and respiratory therapists provide 24-hour medical supervision. They will also set up a special infirmary to dispense asthma medications and breathing treatments.

As a service of Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center and many sponsors, Camp Wezbegon is offered at no charge to campers.

Have you been selected for Camp?
You will be notified if your child is selected for camp during the third week of June.  If your child is accepted, a consent form will be sent along with the acceptance letter, directions to camp, a list of camp rules (to be signed by you and your child) and a camper checklist.  The consent form and signed camp rules are to be turned in during check-in at camp.  We will make every effort to select the children we feel will benefit most from this camp and those children who are unable to attend a regular camp because of the severity of their asthma.  If your child is selected to attend camp, there will be no charge for camp.  It is the parent or guardian’s responsibility to transport the child to and from camp.
