At Le Bonheur, we know that sometimes it takes more than the best medicine to help a child get well. It takes an environment that cares about the whole child and family. From play therapy to worship services to tutoring, Le Bonheur is focused on getting children well. It is important that children as well as their families feel taken care of at Le Bonheur.

Child Life
Hospitals can be scary places for children - that is why the Child Life department’s sole purpose is to help children overcome their fears and provide comfort and security, through special programs and services.

Bernard
Each week, Bernard is featured in a special program offered to children and their parents who are unfamiliar with surgical procedures. A loveable puppet, Bernard takes families step by step through the process.

Chaplains
Part of the larger Methodist Healthcare pastoral care team, the Le Bonheur pastoral ministry staff is committed to taking care of body, mind and Spirit, providing pastoral care to patients, family members, visitors, hospital staff and medical staff.

Social Work
Social workers can be reached 24 hours per day to provide support for you and your family during your child's illness. They also help with your child's plans for home care and community resource services after you leave the hospital.

Medical Records
At any time, you might need to request a copy of your medical record. We want to make this request as easy as possible.

Clinical Nutrition
The clinical nutrition staff at Le Bonheur is available to consult with your physician and your family about any special dietary needs your child might require.

Home Health Care
As part of Methodist Healthcare, Le Bonheur Children's Medical Center has access to a complete array of home care services through Methodist Alliance Health Services.
