The Division of Pediatric General Surgery at Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center provides evaluation, diagnosis and surgical treatment for a wide variety of surgical problems in children, including newborn congenital anomalies of the intestinal tract and the chest, hernias, treatment of appendicitis, tumors of the chest, abdomen and urinary tract. General surgeons also treat soft tissues, traumas and burns. Many of our operations can be performed with minimally invasive techniques (such as using a laparoscope), as well as through standard techniques.

A highly-trained, expert team of physicians and caregivers are here to ensure your child receives the very best care possible.  Our team of four board certified pediatric surgeons treats children of all ages, including neonates, infants, children and adolescents.  We also serve as the primary teaching facility for the University of Tennessee Pediatric Surgery Residency Program.
