Bernard with Friends

As a fellow patient, Bernard has the ability to bring a smile and to provide trust, comfort and friendship.  Bernard and his Mommy work with the medical team to help children and their families cope with the fears and emotional stresses of hospitalization. Through play children are able to express their feelings and gain a greater understanding of their hospital experience.

Meet Bernard's Friends 
  Bernard's "Friendship Company" is an extension of our puppet therapy program. We utilize these puppets to create a series of teaching videos for the children who are facing various medical procedures.
Meet Bernard's Mommy - Diana Chiles 
  As pediatric therapist for our children's hospital, her focus is to promote healing by providing opportunities for play. Her primary tool is a green puppet, "Bernard".
