Abby Steer Finds Miracles in Memphis 
  When Abby Steer was born at Cox Hospital in Springfield, Mo., she appeared to be a normal baby girl – perfectly happy and perfectly healthy. But just hours after her delivery, doctors confronted her parents with devastating news. Their newborn daughter had a malignant glioblastoma tumor covering more than 75 percent of the right half of her brain.
Back in the Game 
  When Shelton Beard arrived in Owensboro, Ky. For his baseball team's world series, his teammates showed their solidarity in an unusual way - they lined up in the parking lot to get their heads shaved.
Because of Jackson 
  Because of Jackson Dunlap, Le Bonheur is one of about 100 international sites participating in this enzyme replacement therapy protocol that is showing results in previously-untreatable Pompe disease. Because of Jackson, his sister, Sloane, was diagnosed with the condition prenatally, and has received the therapy since she was two months old.
Born with part of his spine exposed, Tyree might never have walked without Le Bonheur. 
  Still in his mother’s womb, Tyree was diagnosed with spina bifida, a condition that caused him to be born with a portion of his spine outside his body. He underwent neurosurgery when he was only a day old.
Emergency Services at Le Bonheur Saved Brendan's Life 
  Brendan was air-lifted to Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center. He had a fractured skull, a badly broken leg, a shattered collarbone and swelling in his brain. Brendan’s injuries were so severe that his parents didn’t know if he would survive the week. That was three years ago.

  Doctors performed surgery when Lindsey was just four months old. She underwent a second surgery at 11 months to repair a ventricular septal defect (VSD), a hole in her heart.

  Tim and Bridgette Flack along with their children Madeline and Eli recently went to the state capital to thank elected leaders for their support of Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center and issues that pertain to children’s health care.

Miss Ives Goes to Washington 
  In June, four–year-old Anna Ives, made the field trip of a lifetime. Anna, a former brain tumor patient at Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center, participated in the National Association of Children’s Hospitals (N.A.C.H.) Family Advocacy Day in Washington, DC.
Not Your Average Joe 
  Joe has epilepsy, and until he underwent epilepsy surgery at Le Bonheur on November 14, he wasn’t even able to recite his ABC’s. Within days of the surgical procedure, he was counting his numbers, talking in sentences and reciting the alphabet all the way through the letter P.
Olivia's Gift 
  On Tuesday, September 12, Olivia Stevens will celebrate 11 years since a tragic playground accident almost took her life. It was the second day of Mother’s Day Out at St. John’s Episcopal Church for the 2 year old.
