As they walk through the Enchanted Forest, children of all ages will be charmed by the animated characters set in a magical snowy setting. Teddy bears beckon, elves are busy at work and penguins play in the snow. Santa cheerfully greets guests at the end of the Forest and poses for holiday photos. A perfect holiday tradition for the whole family to enjoy!
You'll love strolling through the avenues of beautifully decorated trees which glisten throughout the Pink Palace Museum. The trees have been generously sponsored by area businesses and individuals and you're sure to find a favorite. Thousands of twinkling lights will dazzle your youngster as will the miniature train chugging through the Gingerbread Village and the charming array of furry Penguin Pals.
Don't Miss It!
Santa Claus will be arriving at the Memphis Pink Palace by way of helicopter to mark our Grand Opening! Mark your calendars for November 22, 2008 at 9:00 am to see this exciting beginning to the 2008 Enchanted Forest!
History
The TWIGS Enchanted Forest Festival of Trees has been a Mid-South tradition for almost 27 years, beginning with a few decorated trees at the Botanic Gardens, growing and progressing to its home at the Pink Palace Museum. The very first Enchanted Forest exhibit began almost 50 years ago, in the basement of the Goldsmith's downtown department store. Generations of families visited that display and are now bringing their children and grandchildren to continue the holiday tradition.
