The new Le Bonheur will open to patients in late September. Please use the one of the following entrances to the current hospital until then.

Parking

Upon your arrival, you may park in the parking garage at 777 Washington Ave. The garage is monitored by security officers and cameras 24 hours a day. Take the elevator down to the ground floor and walk through the tunnel to the hospital. There is also a parking lot next to the garage, with an entrance on Dunlap St. The emergency department parking lot entrance is off of Adams St. on the south side of the hospital. Handicapped parking is available in the parking lot outside the parking garage, on level 1 of the garage and in the emergency department parking lot.

Effective April 1, 2005, parents, patients and visitors will be allowed to park for free in the Physicians’ Office Building (POB) garage and surface lot at 777 Washington Ave. and in the Emergency Department parking lot.

1. Pull a ticket as you enter the parking lot.

2. Exchange the signed ticket (including name, patient's last name and location visited) for a token at one of the following validation stations:

  • In the physicians' offices in the POB
  • At the Emergency Department Security Desk (open 24 hours)
  • Patient Access/Central Registration on the ground floor of the POB
  • At the Information Desk in the lobby

3. Place the token in the automated cashier as you leave the parking lot.

Hospital Entrance

Le Bonheur has two public entrances. The main entrance is located on Dunlap Street and is open from 5:30 a.m. until 8 p.m. seven days a week. The emergency department entrance is on Adams Street and is open 24 hours a day. The tunnel from the parking garage will take you to the main entrance lobby.

Patient Admissions

Once a non-emergency patient arrives to be admitted for treatment at Le Bonheur, they should first go to the Registration Desk that is located in the main lobby of the hospital. There patients will start the registration process for same-day surgery, inpatient admissions, radiology tests in the hospital, x-ray, outpatient hematology, hearing tests, lab tests and nutrition. Registration is open from 5:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
