The Le Bonheur Neuroscience Institute is recognized as one of the nation's top neuroscience programs by U.S. News & World Report. At Le Bonheur, your child will be treated by one of the top neuroscience teams in the country. Here's why:
Our board-certified neuroscientists are specially-trained to treat kids with the most complex neurological conditions. Our team includes neurologists, neurosurgeons, clinical neuroscientists, neuroradiologists and a large support team.
The Neuroscience Institute is a partnership between several organizations – Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, Semmes Murphey Neurologic and Spine Institute, University of Tennessee Health Science Center and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
A partnership between Le Bonheur and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, our brain tumor program, is one of the largest pediatric surgical programs in the country. Last year, our neurosurgeons performed 180 brain tumor surgeries.
Parents from around the country and internationally seek our team’s expertise. Last year, the Institute attracted patients from 32 states.
We are one of a few pediatric hospitals that offer a wide range of neuroimaging tools in the diagnosis and treatment of children. Patients here have access to Magnetoencephalography (MEG), intraoperative MRI (iMRI), functional MRI (fMRI), high density EEG, and biplane angiography with three dimensional imaging.
Our epilepsy center is National Association of Epilepsy Center Level IV accredited center, the highest level for pediatric patients.
