Thousands of children around the globe are participating in The World’s Largest Swimming Lesson™ to help beat the leading cause of unintended, injury related death of children ages 1-4. Organizers are expecting 100 kids and families will be on site at Bickford Aquatic Center to participate in this global event.
The World’s Largest Swimming Lesson™ was created to spread the word that Swimming Lessons Save Lives™ – tragically, drowning is the leading cause of unintended, injury related death of children ages 1-4.
Every year Le Bonheur treats nearly 40 children for drowning or near drowning.
This event is sponsored by Splash Mid-South, Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, City of Memphis Parks and Neighborhoods, Memphis Fire Department, and Memphis Pool.
