Caryline Adkins: A Legacy of Service and Giving

For more than 40 years, Caryline Adkins served at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital. She began her career as a Physical Therapist and shortly thereafter became the director of Rehabilitation Services. Caryline’s life was about service. “We’re not put on this earth for ourselves but to give back to others … laying the groundwork for the next generation is the responsibility of everyone,” Caryline once said.

According to Danielle Keeton, director of Outpatient Rehab and Developmental Services at Le Bonheur, “It is impossible to measure Caryline’s impact at Le Bonheur. She consistently served not only patients and families, but our Associates, too. She’s left a big hole here and also a clear example of how to leave a legacy.”

Caryline died in December, and thanks to her 40 years of service and a gift she made to Le Bonheur through her estate, her impact at Le Bonheur will continue for generations to come.
