Screens Keep Bugs Out, Not Kids In

Nothing says spring and summer like opening the windows, setting the chairs and table on the porch, or planting flowers to adorn your yard. Keeping windows and doors open not only provides fresh air through the house, but it is a hidden danger in your house if you have little ones.

Window falls increase dramatically during the spring and summer months; however, they can be prevented. It takes supervision and a device called a window guard.

Window guards should be installed to prevent the little ones from being able to fall outside. They can be purchased at a hardware, are easy to install and have a release mechanism in the event of an emergency or the need to move to another window.

Please remember that that no device can replace active supervision. That's the key to ensuring your child doesn't have access to open windows or doors around the home.
