Effective immediately, the UTHSC IRB will administratively close expired studies that do not have a Form 3 – Continuing Review (Renewal) submitted prior to the study expiration date. Form 3 – Continuing Review (Renewal) must be submitted three weeks prior to the study expiration date for full board studies, and two weeks prior to the study expiration date for expedited studies.

All studies that are administratively closed by the IRB will require a new Form 1 - full submission to re-opened. No study activities are allowed to occur during the time the study is expired. Reminder: Include CFRI in your affiliation

When publishing manuscripts, please ensure you include “Children’s Foundation Research Institute at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital” in both your affiliation and acknowledgements.

Including CFRI in your affiliation has the benefit of helping to raise the profile of our Institute and Hospital both nationally and internationally. It also assists us in keeping accurate publication records and helps us to promote your work.
