CFRI makes promotions, adds members

CFRI members Guy, Jeffries promoted

Kenishia Guy and Krislyn Jeffries have been promoted to Research Data Specialists. In their new roles, they will work closely with Clinical Research Coordinators and other Children’s Foundation Research Institute staff to enter and manage research data, maintain regulatory files and screen potential research participants.

CFRI welcomes four members

The Children’s Foundation Research Institute welcomes LaTonya Ivy, Jonathan Rowland, Jorden Cunningham and Lauren Camp.

LaTonya Ivy MSN, BC-ADM, CDE joins CFRI as a Clinical Research Coordinator with focused studies in Endocrinology and Immunology. Ivy is a public health nurse with experience in nursing leadership, health education, program and policy development and quality care for adult and pediatric patient population. Prior to her role in CFRI, Ivy served as a Diabetes Self-Management Education Coordinator with the Le Bonheur Outpatient Endocrine Center.

Jonathan Rowland, BS, CCRP is the new Clinical Research Coordinator in the Department of Pediatric Orthopedics. Rowland has more than 17 years of pediatric research experience with former areas of focus centering on developmental pediatrics and neonatology.

Jorden Cunningham, BSN, RN joins CFRI as the Clinical Research Coordinator in the Department of Cardiology. Cunningham gained extensive cardiac knowledge in her previous role as a Cardiovascular ICU nurse at Le Bonheur and looks forward to continuing her partnership with the Heart Institute.

Lauren Camp, MPH joins the Department of Surgery as a Research Data Specialist. Prior to her role at CFRI, Camp conducted data collection and analysis for various community programs at the University of Mississippi Center for Population Studies and completed studies in epidemiology and public health at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Most recently, she worked with the CANDLE Study at UTHSC.
