Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital Announces Plans with Memphis Children’s Clinic

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital is proud to announce that it has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding in which Memphis Children’s Clinic would become part of the Le Bonheur Pediatrics primary care network in January 2026. This partnership would strengthen Le Bonheur’s commitment to providing exceptional pediatric care across the Mid-South, ensuring children receive the care they need when and where they need it.

Established in 1952, Memphis Children’s Clinic has been a trusted provider of compassionate and knowledgeable care for infants, children and adolescents. In this plan, its six locations – Bartlett, Germantown, Whitehaven, Hickory Hill, Southaven and Olive Branch – will continue to serve families in their communities with the same expert providers and high-quality care they have always delivered.

“By bringing Memphis Children’s Clinic into the Le Bonheur Pediatrics family, we will expand access to Le Bonheur’s specialized pediatric care for the children of the region, said Le Bonheur President Dr. Trey Eubanks. “For more than 70 years, Memphis Children’s Clinic has been committed to providing outstanding care to children across the Mid-South, and we are excited about the prospect of their teams joining Le Bonheur Pediatrics to strengthen our care for the children and families we serve.”

Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare President and CEO Dr. Michael Ugwueke added his enthusiasm for the news.

“Memphis Children’s has a long history of providing exceptional pediatric care to this community and a mission that aligns with our own,” Ugwueke said. “We are excited to welcome them to the Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare family and look forward to expanding access to pediatric care to improve every life we touch.”

In this planned expansion, Memphis Children’s Clinic doctors will continue serving in their current neighborhoods, providing the same care families know and trust. This transition would allow Le Bonheur to provide more coordinated care across the region. Closing date is subject to customary due diligence and approvals.

“We have looked at the future of pediatrics, and recognize the value of aligning with Le Bonheur, where we have a long and rich tradition of cooperation in patient care and education,” said Memphis Children’s Clinic Partner and Pediatrician Dr. Tim Gillespie. “We share the same mission – providing the best care for all children and see the future as better together.”
