Le Bonheur Club
The founding organization of the hospital is Le Bonheur Club, which raised the funds to create Memphis’ first hospital dedicated solely to children – Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital – in 1952. They continue to play an integral role in both the fundraising and volunteer arms of the hospital today. Le Bonheur Club takes pride in its efforts to support Le Bonheur by hosting a variety of events and fundraisers, as well as providing the volunteer hours necessary to carry out hospital programs and traditions. Le Bonheur Club’s mission, to help Le Bonheur help kids, is woven throughout all aspects of the Club, while their main goal is to improve the lives of all children in our community.

Gumtree TWIGS of Tupelo
Gumtree TWIGS Club was founded in 1996 from a community’s desire to help Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital and its clinics. Most members have first-hand knowledge of Le Bonheur, because they were either a patient themselves or a parent of a child who received care there. Others want to help because they know of friends, neighbors and co-workers whose children received care from Le Bonheur.
TWIGS is an acronym for “Together We Initiate Growth and Sharing.” The TWIGS help support Le Bonheur through fundraising, health advocacy and promotional events. They meet once a month on the third Tuesday to network, provide support for one another, plan events and keep the community aware of the needs of Le Bonheur.
If you would like to join the Gumtree TWIGS of Tupelo, please reach out to Hilary Whitehorn at hilary.whitehorn@lebonheur.org.
