Le Bonheur Children’s in Jackson, Tenn., welcomes new specialist

Jared Hogan, MD, recently joined Le Bonheur Children’s Outpatient Center in Jackson, Tenn., as a full-time pediatric pulmonologist. In addition to his outpatient role, he also serves as a hospitalist at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital, continuing his commitment to children’s health across West Tennessee. Hogan completed his residency and fellowship in Pediatric Pulmonology at Le Bonheur and The University of Tennessee (UT) Health Science Center. He provides care for children with respiratory conditions and offers second opinions, with a focus on patient- and family- centered care. Sebastian receives award from International Association of Forensic Nurses

Andrea Sebastian, DNP, PNP-PC, recently received the Kim Day Service Award from the International Association of Forensic Nurses (IAFN). This award recognizes individuals who have gone above and beyond the call of volunteerism for the betterment of IAFN. The IAFN is a professional organization of more than 6,000 nurses from 25 countries who provide specialized health care for patients impacted by violence and trauma. Sebastian serves as a nurse practitioner in Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital’s CARES (Child Advocacy Resource and Evaluation Services) program and as an assistant professor at UT College of Nursing.

Leadership appointments at Le Bonheur’s Heart Institute

Ranjit Philip, MD, Kaitlin Ryan, MD, and Aaron Walsh, MD, were named to new leadership roles in Le Bonheur’s Heart Institute. Philip was named associate chief of the Pediatric Cardiology and continues to serve as director of the Pediatric Cardiology clinic. He is an associate professor at UT Health Science Center. Ryan was selected as medical director of Heart Failure and Heart Transplant. She is an associate professor at UT Health Science Center. Walsh was named co-director of the Healthy Lifestyles Clinic and is an assistant professor of UT Health Science Center.

Le Bonheur physicians named Emeritus Faculty at UT Health Science Center

Multiple physicians who recently retired from Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital were named among the 2024-25 Emeritus Faculty at UT Health Science Center. These included Pediatric Critical Care Specialist Mark Bugnitz, MD, Neonatologist Ramasubbareddy Dhanireddy, MD, Pediatric Critical Care Specialist Stephanie Storgion, MD, and Former Chief of Pediatric Cardiology Jeffrey A. Towbin, MD.

Save the Date: Inaugural Vascular Anomalies Conference

The Inaugural Vascular Anomalies Conference will be held on Sept. 5 at the Russell Chesney Auditorium. This symposium is intended to familiarize providers with the classification, diagnosis and modern multidisciplinary management of vascular anomalies. All aspects of vascular anomalies care will be discussed with experts in multiple disciplines including dermatology, surgery, diagnostic radiology, interventional neuroradiology and peripheral radiology, genetics, hematology and oncology. Registration will open soon.
